Marvellous "masseria" (former farm typical of Puglia)
dating back to the 17th century quietly situated at the bottom
of the hills of the Murgia, amidst scented lemon trees and
wonderful ancient olive groves. Skilful restoration works
allowed the owners to convert this unique building into several
bedrooms, all of which providing tastefully furnished interiors.
Distances: Pezze di Greco with food shops approx. 2 km, Fasano
with all kinds of shops 4 km, the charming little town of
Locorotondo, famous for the production of excellent white wines
11 km, Alberobello, the town of the "trulli" 20 km.
Bari and Brindisi (both with airport) are within 60 km. The
closest beaches are in a 10-minute drive. At guests' disposal:
beautiful gardens rich in olive trees and flowers, splendid
swimming-pool (19 x 8 m - maximum depth 2,80 m - open from 01/04
to 31/10) surrounded by lemon trees, reading-room, TV-room. This
masseria offers a charming small restaurant where the owners
prepare for their guests excellent recipes of the local cuisine
made mostly with biological ingredients produced on the estate
such as the olive oil, the marmalades and the rosolio. By
arrangement the owners organise cooking classes (payment on the
spot). Boat and minibus tours are possible on request. Check-in
between 12.00 and 18.00.
