BAGLIO DELLA LUNA FORESTERIA The main part of the structure is the tower, belonging to the XIII century which was built in 1555 and in the XVIII century was transformed in a country side residence.
All rooms and suites with cosy furnitures are air conditioned, have fridge bar, colour TV, telephone and private services ( 2 junior suite have Jacuzzi).
The restaurant service is cared by the house steward and by the chef who prepares fancy menus of the most traditional Sicilian dishes as well as Italian food

DOMUS AUREA An 18th century villa in a splendid position in the Valley of Temples and a hotelier who has always been in love with beautiful things: from this happy encounter there comes Domus Aurea the most recent four star hotel in the Agrigento area. The Villa, which ceased to be a private dwelling a long time ago, for many years was used for different purposes, and was transformed and disfigured. Its original beauty could hardly be guessed at, but it only needed a small effort on the part of Ignazio Altieri, the passionate owner of the nearby Baglio della Luna hostel. He bought the place, and spent time, money and love on restructuring it, bringing out the original Gothic Moorish style and trying to recover as much as possible. The result is a hotel of great charm, with a lot of period details that take nothing away from the modern comfort. Altogether there are twenty two rooms, and they are furnished in good laste. The standard rooms have big windows looking out on a garden with flowers in it, over fire thousand square metres of carefully kept lawns and fountains, while the superior rooms look out on the Agrigento countryside that inspired Pirandello and a lot of other artists in the area, and the superb temples cooking the ancient Akragas. The De Luxe rooms are on the third floor. Embellished by sumptuous drapes and artistic pictures they look out on a big private terrace with a 180 view of the Valley and as far as the African Sea which lies glimmering not far off. For the guests there are also comfortable and elegant lounges in which to enjoy an aperitif before going to the restaurant at the nearby Baglio della Luna where a young cook provides dishes that tastefully and imaginatively elaborate the specialities of the best Mediterranean cuisine. Thanks to its position, Domus Aurea is an excellent base for visit to the environs, not only Agrigento and its Valley, but also the towns and villages rich in monuments and works of art that lie on the coast or island, from Naro to Racalmuto, Caltabellotta to Sciacca.
